I want to walk on golden water, across the gentle waters. Walk by the contours of the land, where the coconut trees stand tall against the orange sky. Set my nature’s built in compass out to sea, guarded by the dolphins gliding along around me. Walk until the land is a memory faded in past moments, stand before the sun, a mere man, at the end of civilization, give homage to the evolution of time and space.
Good morning sunshine, can I join you for a rainbow of flower petals and sun drenched tropical fruit. Can I sit on the hilltop with the birds on my shoulder and sing you a serenade that pulls you up. Will you give me a standing ovation, right above the mountain top, prompt the golden green tree leaves to do the same. Will you dance across the ocean’s surface from shore to shore let the world know, it is time to wake up and live.
I can really go for a snack of golden apples right now. Oh the sweet taste of this tropical fruit, golden, like the sun. Ahhh close my eyes and a little Obeah and maybe I will have them here in front of me in West Virginia.
Today there is a golden ring around me
it is my sun, the light that shines around me like a halo
